What HiSuite does

HiSuite plays the role for Huawei devices that iTunes once played for iPhones. After you connect the phone by USB or over Wi-Fi and confirm the connection on the phone, the program shows a dashboard with storage use and quick actions. The most important of them is backup: HiSuite can save contacts, messages, call logs, photos, videos, apps with their data and system settings to your PC, optionally encrypted with a password, and restore them later to the same or a new Huawei device. Separate sections let you manage photos and videos, export and edit contacts, read and send text messages from the keyboard, and install or uninstall apps. How to install and connect

1. Download HiSuite from the official Huawei HiSuite page and run the installer.
2. On the phone, open Settings and allow HiSuite to use the HDB connection if asked.
3. Connect the phone by USB and choose file transfer mode, or connect over the same Wi-Fi network.
4. Enter the verification code shown on the phone into HiSuite.

Security

Encrypt backups with a password you will remember, because Huawei cannot recover it. Use only the official installer and system updates offered by HiSuite; firmware from unofficial sites can damage the device.

Tips

Make a full backup before any system update or repair, and keep the phone charged above half during the process. If the PC does not detect the phone, try another USB port and an original cable, and check that HDB is allowed in the phone settings.
